You shouldn’t! We provide extra straps which go straight onto your own breastfeeding bra, so you don’t need a special bra.

To ensure the safety and longevity of your breast pump parts, follow these recommended cleaning guidelines:
Dishwasher Safe Parts
• PP (Polypropylene) Components: Heat-resistant up to 121°C and can be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher.
• Recommendation: Use a gentle cycle and avoid the drying function to prevent unnecessary heat exposure.
Hand Wash Recommended
• Silicone Parts (Silicone Horn, Duckbill Valve, Suction Bowl)
◦ Made of liquid silicone with a heat resistance of 160°C.
◦ Can be boiled for 5-8 minutes but should not be exposed to excessive heat for prolonged periods.
◦ Not recommended for dishwasher cleaning due to potential warping or degradation.
Do NOT Submerge in Water
• Main Unit & Power Adapter
◦ Electronic components must be kept dry to prevent malfunction.
◦ Wipe with a clean, dry cloth if needed.
Other Cleaning Notes

Breast pumps and accessories are regulated as single-user products, and cannot be returned once the safety seal has been broken. See our returns policy. You can return an unopened Breastie within 30 days of the purchase date. If you decide to return your unopened pump or accessories, you must contact us to start the return process. Please review our return policies. Only products purchased from breastfriend.co.nz may be returned directly to us. For products purchased from our retail partners, please follow their instructions. Breastfriend pumps are single-user medical devices and returns must be new, unopened (no seals broken), unused, and in the original packaging.

We aim to process and dispatch your order within one business day. All orders are sent via tracked express shipping to New Zealand and Australia, with delivery typically taking 1–5 business days. Please note that once your order is with the courier, delivery times are beyond our control. If a product is on pre-order, we will clearly display the expected arrival date on the product page before you add it to your basket. While we often ship earlier than the listed pre-order date, unforeseen delays can occur. If this happens, we’ll notify you via email with an update.
