Breastie Manual & Quick Start

Hi māmā, welcome, and congratulations on your Breasties! 💖

We hope you and your little one(s) love them. This page has everything you need to get started, plus a few quick care tips to keep your pumps working beautifully for a long time.

One thing worth 30 seconds before you dive in: your pump motors are the heart of your Breasties, and like all electronics they don't like liquid. A little care here keeps them running perfectly.

Keeping your motors happy

  • Always remove the motor before pouring your milk
  • Don't let your collection cups fill past 180ml
  • Only charge with a 5V adapter (details below)

Liquid damage to the motor isn't covered under warranty, so these three habits really matter.

Let's get you started

Safe vs Unsafe chargers for your Breasties

SAFE:

  • Output clearly says 5V only (e.g. “Output: 5V ⎓ 1A”, “5V ⎓ 2A”, “5V ⎓ 3A”)

  • Standard phone chargers (non–fast charge)

  • USB ports on laptops or PCs

UNSAFE:

  • Output lists any voltage higher than 5V (e.g. “5V / 9V”, “5V / 12V”)

  • “Fast charge” or “Quick Charge” adapters

  • Power Delivery (PD) chargers for laptops, tablets, or high-speed charging

  • UE BOOM or other speaker chargers that list 9V or 12V

How to check: Look at the tiny print on your adapter, it will say “Output: 5V” if safe. If it shows more than one voltage, do not use it.
